What goes into the book from your archive
The book is assembled by rules, not by AI: the service does not make up dates, places or relationships. What is not in the archive is called unknown.
- People and relationships - the full family tree on a spread: direct ancestors, spouses, children, branches.
- Dates and places - years of life, places of birth and moves that you have already entered in the archive.
- Photos with captions - up to 30 selected ones, by decade, with your captions.
- Stories and memories - texts from the archive on the pages of the people they are about.
- A chronicle of events - births, weddings and moves by year.
- A dedication and a letter to the reader - your words at the start of the book, if you want to write them.
- Phrases about the family - from a vetted list, only the ones you tick.
- "What we do not know yet" - questions for relatives: what is missing from the archive and what to ask.

Tree and archive
The people, dates, places, photos and stories you have already added are the book. There is nothing to write again.
A free preview
The service builds the book from your data and shows four pages with a watermark, the page count and the sections. You can see what is missing: add to the archive and build the preview again.
Payment and PDF
Choose the design, the photos and the phrases about the family, and write the dedication. After the 1,490 RUB payment you get a PDF for reading and a separate print file.

How to choose the design
The theme changes the cover, the accent colour, the part openers and the branches of the tree. The inside pages are equally light in every theme, so the book reads the same on a screen and on paper. If you print at home, Paper uses the least ink.

Relatives' data
- By default living people are printed briefly: name, relationship and birth year, without the exact birth date or place, occupation or biography.
- "In detail" is switched on only if you confirm that the living adults know about the book and agree.
- Children and people with no birth year are always printed briefly, and the portrait of a living child is not printed on their page.
- The book is not published on the site: only you download the file. It can be deleted together with all its versions.

- Before preparation of the book starts: in full, at any time. After that: under the terms of the service.

Questions
Is this a subscription?
No. The Family Book is a one-time purchase for 1,490 RUB, with no renewal and no repeat charges. If you have a paid year of Family Archive, one book is already included.
What do I see for free?
A preview from your own data: four pages of the book with a "Preview" watermark, the total page count and the list of sections. The full book without the mark and the print file come after payment.
How many pages will it be?
It depends on the archive. One or two people give a short book of a few pages; the sample on a fictional four-generation family has 28 pages. The free preview shows the exact number.
Can I rebuild the book or fix something?
Yes, for 30 days after it is ready: up to three rebuilds from updated archive data, with the same contents and design, and one comment on the design. You do not pay again. After 30 days the data saved for building is deleted, and the finished files stay.
How do I print the book?
Download the print file, which has a 3 mm bleed, and take it to a print shop or a photo centre that prints books from a single copy. The book section has a checklist: format, paper, binding and what to check in a test copy. We do not print or deliver.
What about relatives' data?
Living people are printed briefly by default: name, relationship and birth year. In detail only if you confirm their consent. Children are always printed briefly. The book is not published on the site, and only you download the file.
And if I do not like the book?
That is why there is a free preview on your data first. If the book is already paid for: before preparation starts we refund the payment in full at any time; after that, a refund under the terms of the service, and mistakes that are our fault and not fixed within 30 days are refunded in full.
