A family tree as a gift: a book about the family and a shared archive
The main gift is the Family Book: a PDF built from your tree, photos and stories. If you would rather give the family a shared place for the tree, there is also a year of Family Archive. You put the gift together from what you know about your family and give it finished.
The product itself is in Russian, for families in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
What you can give
The Family Book is built from your tree: people and relationships, dates and places, up to 30 photos with your captions, stories and a chronicle. A dedication opens the book on its own page, and you pick the cover from four themes. It costs 1,490 RUB, once, with no renewal and no repeat charges.
A year of Family Archive is a shared place for the tree: you and 9 more editors, 50 GB for photos and documents, a family chat and ready letters to archives for all ancestors. It costs 2,990 RUB a year. One Family Book is already included in the paid year. The payment does not repeat by itself: we do not keep card details, and you confirm any renewal yourself. Launch price for the first 500 families, through 22 January 2027. Then 3,490 RUB a year or 349 RUB a month.
You can start for free and without a card: the tree, the person cards and a free preview of the book from your own data.
What to know before you buy
This is not a certificate the recipient activates. You put the gift together from your own archive and give a finished file: show it on a screen, send it or print it.
We do not print or deliver. We prepare a file for reading and a separate print file with a 3 mm bleed; you can print it at a print shop or a photo centre that prints books from a single copy.
The book is built from what is already in the archive. If there are few people, dates and photos, it will be short. The free preview shows four pages with a watermark, the page count and the sections, and the page "What we do not know yet" suggests what to ask relatives.
How to get the gift ready for a date
The Family Book section has a screen called "Give for a date". It walks you through five steps: for whom, for which date, the title and the words at the start of the book, the first questions with an invitation to the archive, and saving the gift as a draft.
You can choose an adult from your tree whose birth year is known; invitations and questions are not sent to children. The date can be the nearest birthday or anniversary, New Year or any other day.
The screen builds a plan back from the date: first questions to relatives four weeks ahead, old photos with captions and a couple of stories three weeks ahead, the free preview two weeks ahead, the PDF a week ahead if the book will be printed. If there are fewer than two weeks left, the PDF is still possible, but a print shop may not make it: give the file and print later.
Payment is not part of this screen. A saved gift is a draft; you pay for the book later in the builder, after the free preview.
If the book is meant to be a surprise
You can send the first questions to another relative who knows the person well. The link opens without registration, the answer can be one line, and you decide what from the answer goes into the archive.
By default living people are printed briefly in the book: name, relationship and birth year. More detail only if you confirm that they know about the book and agree. Children are always printed briefly.

What can I give?

Is there a gift certificate?
No. We do not have a certificate that the recipient activates. The gift is put together from your archive, and you give a finished file or a book you printed yourself.
Will you print and deliver the book?
No. We do not print or deliver: we prepare a PDF for reading and a print file with a 3 mm bleed. You can print it at a print shop or a photo centre that prints books from a single copy.
How do I make it in time?
Start four weeks ahead: that leaves time for relatives' answers, captioned photos and the free preview. If there are fewer than two weeks left, the PDF is still possible, but a print shop may not make it: give the file and print later.
What goes into the book about living parents?
By default living people are printed briefly: name, relationship and birth year, without the exact birth date or place. In full only if you confirm that they know about the book and agree. The book is not published on the site, and only you download the file.
What if I do not like the book?
Look at the free preview on your own data first. If the book is already paid for, we refund the payment in full within 14 days before preparation starts. Once it is ready, you have 30 days to rebuild it up to three times from updated data and to send one comment on the design.
