A sample on a fictional family · no registration

The Family Book, page by page

These are real pages of a finished book: the fictional Kuznetsov and Orlov families, in the Forest theme. Your book is built from your own tree, photos and stories.

A sample on a fictional family. Names, dates and stories are invented; your book is built only from your data. This sample has 28 pages.

What goes into each chapter

  1. Family tree

The whole family on one chart: who is whose parent, spouse and child. For a large family, also the descendants by branch.

People and relationships from your tree.

Always in the book once the tree has three people.

  2. Direct ancestors

Parents, grandparents, great-grandparents: fourteen frames. Anyone you do not know yet stays an empty frame, to fill in by hand when you find them.

Your parents and their parents, as far as known.

Always in the book, next to the tree.

  3. People of our family

A page about everyone you choose: years and places of life, parents, spouses and children, a couple of lines about the person. Living relatives are printed briefly by default: name, relationship and birth year.

Person cards: dates, places, a short biography.

  4. Family chronology

Weddings, births, moves and your stories, by year. The person card has "Era" prompts: what was happening in the country while they lived, and what to ask relatives. A story written from them goes here.

Events and stories from the archive chronicle.

  5. Photo archive

Old and new pictures by decade, with handwritten captions: who, where, when. Up to 30 photos.

Photos from the archive and your captions.

  6. The family in numbers

How many years of history, generations and places, which names are the most common: short, on one page.

Birth years and places from the tree.

Appears by itself once the tree has five people.

  7. What we do not know yet

The questions where the story breaks off for now: what a great-grandfather's parents were called, when a picture was taken. You can ask relatives by link, and they can answer without registering.

Gaps in the archive: unknown parents, places, dates.

Appears by itself once there are three questions.

The main points

Can I try the book without registering?

You can leaf through the sample pages here without registering. The contents of your own book are built from your archive, so that needs an account and some people in the tree.

Does the service make anything up?

The book is assembled by rules, not by AI: the service does not make up dates, places or relationships. What is not in the archive is called unknown.

What does the book cost?

1,490 RUB once. The preview is free. One book is included in a paid year of Family Archive.
